Dear new students!
Congratulations on your place at university! After being accepted, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance and more information on the further process.
We look forward to seeing you on campus soon - it won't be long before your studies start. Now that you have enrolled, there are new questions to answer: How do I find a room or apartment, what documents do I need and are there any clubs or groups at the university that you can get involved in? We've put together some information to help you get started.
If you are studying at the Business School, you can find specific information here.
Do you still have questions about enrollment?
Here you will find general information on enrollment
Our StudiCenter will be happy to help you!
The School of Design is located in the immediate vicinity of the city center. Due to its location, there are no parking spaces available for students - but the faculty is easily accessible by bus, bike or on foot. Transportation Design on Eutinger Straße is also easily accessible by bus.
The School of Engineering and the Business School are located on the southern edge of the city. We recommend taking the bus to the university. Line 5 stops directly at the campus on Tiefenbronner Straße. There are a limited number of parking spaces below the library between Tiefenbronner and August-Kayser-Straße, which are open to all students. There are also well-lit women's parking spaces available. Note: Please park in the marked areas and pay attention to the areas that must be kept clear as fire lanes.
In addition to this parking lot, the wildlife parking lot can be used by students during the lecture period. However, this only applies from Monday to Friday (even if you have lectures on Saturday), only for P2 and P3 and only during the weeks in which regular lectures take place (after the examination phases until the start of lectures, parking there is subject to a charge).
You will all receive your student ID card at the introductory events of the faculties or at the start of lectures - and it has more than one function:
- Student ID card
- library card
- StudiTicket for bus and train
- Registration at the multifunctional devices (printer, photocopier)
- Electronic wallet Mensa
- Access system for buildings and rooms
Student ID card as StudiTicket:
All students of the HS PF travel by bus and train in Pforzheim and the surrounding area without paying extra - the student ID card is also your StudiTicket in Pforzheim and the surrounding area (VPE network). The StudiTicket is personal and non-transferable. In the winter semester, the StudiTicket is valid from September 1 to February 28 or 29, in the summer semester from March 1 to August 31.
Until you receive your student ID card, you can use your letter of admission in conjunction with your identity card or passport. Further information is also available from the AStA
Are you looking for a room or an apartment in Pforzheim? There are various options - and the housing market is much better for students in Pforzheim than in other university cities.
