Language requirements
Exchange Study Programs in German
In order to receive an admission to exchange programs in German all international students will have to prove adequate language skills in German. For all degree programs Pforzheim University requires German language skills on the level of (minimum) B2 or C1 (within the European framework of language qualifications). The DSH exam, the "Sprachdiplom" (DSD II) or a TESTDAF score of 4 in average or the intermediate exam (C1 - Mittelstufenpruefung) of the Goethe Institute are sufficient to fulfill the admission requirements.
Exchange Study programs in English
For all exchange study programs in English Pforzheim University requires adequate language skills in English (at least B2-Level). Candidates should prove sufficient language skills in English via an international recognised test or a confirmation by their home university. A TOEFL score of min. IBT 85 (570 ITP, 235 CPT) meets the entry requirement. We also accept TOEIC, IELTS, CAEL, CPE and CAE scores that we may convert.
For admission to study programs offered in both German and/or English (or the combination of other languages) applicants will have to prove sufficient language skills (see above) in both languages.
