PERSPECTUM an der Hochschule Pforzheim
What is the PERSPECTUM certificate?
The "PERSPECTUM" certificate for interdisciplinary skills documents students' change of perspective beyond their own subject area and their engagement with content and methods from other disciplines. It certifies that interdisciplinary skills have been acquired and that students are able to think in a networked way in complex systems and work on problems together in teams with other disciplines.
What requirements must be met?
- You must complete courses and projects (at least 9 ECTS) from the catalog of interdisciplinary courses.
- With appropriate justification, curricular courses and projects (e.g. interdisciplinary courses and projects with several degree programs) can also be taken into account for the certificate.
- Interdisciplinary participation in a student initiative or special interdisciplinary social commitment can be recognized with a total of 1 ECTS, provided that these have been reflected upon (see template for reflection).
- Participation in extracurricular courses and projects is usually evidenced by certificates of participation (e.g. "certificates of participation", "design certificate booklet").
- Proof of a course credited to the curriculum is provided by the corresponding grade printout.
- The application for the certificate can only be made as long as you are enrolled at the HSPF
What is the application procedure?
- The application procedure is managed by the Didactics Center of the HS PF. The relevant data is stored there for two years.
- If you have attended interdisciplinary courses amounting to at least 9 ECTS, you submit an "Application for PERSPECTUM" (see form).
- We will check whether the requirements for the PERSPECTUM have been met and will contact you if we have any questions.
- The certificate will be issued (signed) by the Rector. The certificate will then be sent to you.
