Véronique Göhlich is Professor of International Business within the Bachelor’s program International Business at Pforzheim University. Her main teaching interests lie in intercultural management and in Franco-German economic relations. In addition, she directs cooperations with several French partner universities (including the double degree programs). She teaches on a regular basis at French universities, as well as occasionally at universities in developing countries. She is also an evaluator for DAAD and DFH (Deutsch-Französische Hochschule) assessing double degree curricula.
In January 2021 she was elected as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Franco-German University (DFH). The DFH, whose programs are offered by a network of 208 universities in France and Germany, represents a model for European universities and embodies the dynamic of the European higher education and research area.
Véronique Göhlich has a Master’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA) and a doctoral degree in material engineering from the Université Technologique de Compiegne (France). She has many years of private sector experience, working as a marketing director and as a manager of international distribution companies in the materials and steel industries. Her experience has taught her the importance of adhering to elementary rules in intercultural management to take existing cooperations and promising business ideas beyond the planning stage.

Véronique Göhlich studies Germany and France comparatively, examining the economic, industrial and political questions that affect them.
Franco-German relations have signal importance for both countries, especially with regard to EU policy and the economy, with each being the other’s leading trading partner. Pforzheim University is the only German university that offers an integrated trilingual (German/English/ French) study program in international business. In her work, Véronique Göhlich studies cooperation between France and Germany and Franco-German relations. She investigates the differing concepts of sustainable corporate social responsibility between German and French companies, and the difficulties German and French university systems have had conforming to the EU’s LMD reform. She works closely with the Franco-German institute in Ludwigsburg. She carries out comparative research on gender diversity, considering the influence of culture on gender-specific career factors and the expectations of young professionals. In the coming years she plans to devote more research to electric vehicles and their acceptance in various countries.
In addition to her research, Véronique Göhlich regularly carries out practice-oriented projects to improve Franco-German cooperation in international companies and mid-size industries. She concentrates specifically on team building workshops and executive management coaching.
