As part of the 17th International Week organized between 12and 16 May 2025, the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Maribor will host the 9th International Scientific Conference on 13th May 2025.
The main goal of FEB International Week is to strengthen international collaboration with our partners, exchange knowledge and good practices through lectures, presentations, and workshops, and intensify international research opportunities.
The 2025 conference theme, “Sustainable Management in the Age of ESG and AI: Navigating Challenges and Opportunities” focuses on the critical role of sustainable management in today’s business landscape. The conference will explore how leaders can integrate sustainable practices across operations, addressing contemporary environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges while remaining competitive. Emphasizing AI’s role as a transformative tool, discussions will include how artificial intelligence can support sustainability goals through supporting management work, organization operations, enhanced data insights, resource optimization, and ethical decision-making. Attendees will gain strategies for aligning core management practices with long-term sustainability, ensuring resilience, compliance, and value creation in a rapidly evolving global marketplace.
We invite scholars to submit their research findings focusing on the challenges in a turbulent economic environment and companies' sustainable management. The deadline for abstract submission is 7 February 2025. There is no Conference fee.
All accepted papers will undergo a double-blind peer review and will be published in Conference Proceedings, which will be issued online by the University of Maribor Press (https://press.um.si/index.php/ump). The Conference Proceedings will be submitted to evaluate eligibility for indexing in the WOS Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
