BEGIERDE – ONE CONCEPT, COUNTLESS IDEAS

Our mono-theme of BEGIERDE (transl.: DESIRE) set the tone for this summer semester. BEGIERDE stands for personal urge to remedy a subjective experience of lack. However, we were particularly interested in the conflict that lies within the term. Because as designers, we most of the time awaken longings and desires with our products and concepts. But today more than ever, responsible designers are dealing with the greed that can quickly arise from desire. Satisfying the desires of individuals versus collective good, that’s our dilemma.
