Join project InReff to "integrated resource efficiency analyzes to reduce the climate impact of the chemical industry"

As of April 2012 at the INEC will start a three-year research project with a budget  of 400,000 euros for the University. In cooperation with the University of Braunschweig, the company HC Starck GmbH Goslar and Sachleben Chemie GmbH Duisburg as well as ifu Hamburg GmbH it is centered on the optimization of energy and material flows of production processes in terms of climate impact. On the side of Pforzheim the project is directed by Prof. Mario Schmidt and the newly appointed Professor Dr. Hendrik Lambrecht. The joint project has a total volume of EUR 2 million and is under the funding program "Technologies for Sustainability and Climate Protection - Chemical Processes" funded by the Federal Ministry of Research (BMBF), which is part of the framework program "Research for Sustainable Development" of the BMBF.
