Baden-Württemberg, the south-western German federal state where Pforzheim University is located, is one of the leading economic regions not only in Germany but also in Europe: Home to internationally renowned industrial giants such as Daimler, Bosch or SAP and thousands of successful small and medium-sized enterprises, many of which are world market leaders in their respective product fields. Focal areas for growth within the economy of Baden-Württemberg include primarily four future areas: Sustainable mobility, environmental technology and resource efficiency, health and healthcare, embedded systems and IT services as well as the consulting industry.
The MBA International Management has a close cooperation with some of the “big players” as well as the “hidden champions” in the region in various industries of which our students can truly benefit. Real life Company Projects, Guest in Classroom events and Company Visits are a vital part of the management education at Pforzheim University. They ensure an intense contact to the industry and give the MBA students the opportunity to gain insights into manufacturing and business processes of multinational corporations and of hidden champions that are located in Southern Germany. The MBA provides students with plant tours, presentations and direct contact with managers, high-level executives and HR personnel who not only give profound insights into challenges of current business but offer them great opportunities to build up their professional network. This is learning in practice. Some of the MBA students do an internship or write their mandatory final thesis in cooperation with a company which might bring them in contact with their future employer.
