What's up next in the new semester?

News

While the current MBA students enjoy their well-deserved semester break, the MBA team and professors are busy working on the program for the upcoming winter semester.
For the 3rd semester students the curriculum foresees, besides the mandatory classes in Innovation & Business Dynamics, Sustainable Globalization and Digital Transformation, a variety of electives which they can choose from. The 3rd semester is meant to offer to the MBA students an individual concentration on different business areas such as Marketing, Consulting and Accounting & Finance. Elective classes like: European Financial Markets – Finance and Artificial Intelligence, Communication Management, Multicultural Marketing and Branding, Consulting, Mergers / Acquisitions and Corporate Restructurings, Digital Marketing, Economics and the Law of Digital Ecosystems or Sustainable Innovation Management, do not only offer opportunities for in-depth studies and a specialization of the students. The electives also enable interdisciplinary learning and interaction with students from other masters´ programs at Pforzheim University.
As a special elective, the Company Project gives students the opportunity to work on a real-life project in collaboration with different companies. These projects, on which the students work over the course of the semester, enable them to put into practice what they have learned in classroom.
Like in previous semesters the curriculum is supplemented by Guest in Classroom and Alumni Meet Current Students events as well as a multi-day excursion to visit different companies and meet with representatives from various firms.
Each winter semester, we also welcome new students to the MBA, who over the next two years, will not only enjoy the internationality of the program but receive a high quality education at an AACSB-accredited business school. The 1st semester students´ curriculum covers the business foundations in classes such as Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Business Functions, Economics, Research Methods and Management Skills. Besides those classes the new MBA students will also benefit from the networking opportunities of our guests in classroom and alumni as well as the excursion that is planned for the winter semester. For many of them the voluntary German language classes that are offered besides the business classes are a good opportunity to learn the language and settle much quicker in their new `home away from home´.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all (back) to university for the winter semester!
