First semester MBA students successfully completed their first semester at Pforzheim University!
The newest MBA batch is represented by 14 students from five different countries, including the US, India, Iran, China and Germany. Over the past months, the MBA students had a new learning experience, including several courses, intense group work, presentations and written examinations.
As the first semester is designed for non-business graduates, courses taught are Foundations in Accounting & Finance, Foundations in Marketing, Foundations in Business Functions, Foundations in Economics, Research Methods and Management Skills. Part of all semesters is Company Experience which includes Guest Talks, Excursions, meeting MBA-Alumni and more.
This semester, the first semester MBA students visited Amazon in Pforzheim, Daimler and its museum in Stuttgart, and participated in a Design Thinking Workshop at MANN + HUMMEL in Ludwigsburg. During a two-day excursion in November, the companies Heidelberger Druck, SAP, Global Logistics Center of Mercedes-Benz and Freudenberg invited the MBA students. Guests in Classroom came from MAHLE, Lidl and BOSCH.
In the upcoming Summer Semester 2017, the batch will be joined by 5 additional MBA students.
