MBA TEAM-BUILDING EVENT

News

Trust and bonding are the driving forces for a good team. That’s what our new MBA students experienced during this team-building event.

A new cohort of 17 MBA students along with MBA staff members bonded as a team through adventurous and team-building activities at the "Wildpark Pforzheim," which is situated across the street from Pforzheim University. In groups of 5, they worked together in activities, such as GPS race, half pipe, magic stick, cross country skiing without snow, and wall-climbing race.

In the GPS race, the team was given a clue of an article and a GPS device, and they had to locate and bring it back to the starting position. The half-pipe activity encouraged groups to brainstorm strategies to reach a goal of rolling a small ball into a helmet through at least 4 half pipes, using only the manpower of the group. In addition to activities that required strategy, communication and leadership, the teams also participated in an adventurous activity of a wall-climbing race. Students climbed a 20-feet high wooden wall while secured with a harness and rope. All activities were well performed by every team.

The students had a nice mental as well as physical activity session lasting two hours, striving to conquer the tasks as a team. The activities were very well designed such that the input of every single member of the group was required to get the best results. One MBA student from India, Avinash, described the team-building event as, “engaging and a positive experience," while Harsha from India said, "We had to react on the spot and work with our instincts as a team.”
