Online visit to the European Central Bank

In the third semester, the MBA offers its students numerous electives from different areas such as consulting, marketing or finance & counting. Students can choose individual classes to gain a better insight into different areas of business.  
One of the elective courses is "European Financial Markets - Artificial Intelligence and Finance", which is taught by Prof. Dirk Wentzel. Pforzheim University´s own Prof. Wentzel is holding the only Jean Monnet Chair of European Economic Integration in the State of Baden-Württemberg, which is a teaching post with a specialization in European Integration receiving additional funding by the European Union.
A highlight of the class usually is the field trip to Frankfurt to visit the German Central Bank with the Money Museum and the European Central Bank, followed by a walk to the Frankfurt Christmas Market. This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the class unfortunately couldn´t go on the trip, but was lucky to get an online lecture with the European Central Bank. Through the presentations students learned more about the European Monetary Policy and the effects of Covid and the climate change e.g..
